Redmond Data Center
On the Frontline of Innovation
Data Center
Welcome to Redmond. This is where historic technology, science and entertainment companies—like Microsoft, Aerojet Rocketdyne and AT&T Mobility—sit alongside freshly hatched startups, all creating new and amazing experiences.
Access
For businesses in Redmond that desire quick or frequent access to their colocated hardware, and for organizations wanting to operate close to business or technology partners, this facility provides unmatched proximity.
Just off Washington State 520, the Redmond data center sits less than a mile from Microsoft headquarters. With up to 10 kilowatts of power per cabinet, most users easily meet their needs.
Because of its proximity, many companies colocate in the Redmond data center to host near their technology partners. Other businesses use this facility because it is the closest data center in its class by their engineering or development teams.
Managed Services
Users that do not have their own IT hardware teams, or prefer to outsource so their employees can concentrate elsewhere, use Colocation Northwest's managed services. We offer a variety of pre-configured packages or can build a custom program to meet your monitoring and maintenance needs. Customers can access advanced IT expertise and start to end project consulting and management as well.

Facility
Colocation Northwest's Redmond data center features 2,500 ft2 of retail colocation space. Available are locking 42U cabinets up to 10 kW and single server space. In addition to the facility's physical proximity to well-known business campuses and headquarters, this site links through our data network with three carrier hotels and over 250 national and international carriers and providers.

Power
The Redmond data center is divided into two groups, one with 150 kilowatts of capacity, the other with 125 kilowatts. Each group is backed-up by uninterruptible power supply units and diesel generators.
Cooling
The data center features 250 kilowatts and reliable APC ACRC100 in-row chilled water-cooling system. These units pump cold air directly into servers. They feature intelligent controls that actively match heat levels by adjusting fan speed and water flow. Accompanying the power and cooling are uninterruptible power supply, multi-generator, and network backup services.
Security
Our Redmond data center requires secure key card access. Sitewide CCTV is monitored 24-7 staffed from Colocation Northwest's network operations center.
